If you thought you’d have to travel all the way to Florida for a Harry Potter experience, you would be wrong.
Warner Bros. Studios at Leavensden, just north of Watford, is set to open its doors next spring for The Making of Harry Potter walking tour.
This three-hour tour will offer visitors the chance to go behind the scenes of the studio used in the making of the Harry Potter movies, including Dumbledore’s office and the Great Hall of Hogwarts School.
Built in 2000, the Great Hall was one of the first sets ever to be created for the series, and is 120ft long by 40ft wide with a solid stone floor and includes the tables and benches used in the films.
Visitors will be able to see the intricate detail that goes into a working set and to see first hand what the camera doesn’t show.
Dan Dark, SVP & Managing Director, Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden said, “While the Harry Potter film series reaches its highly anticipated conclusion this summer, its incredible filmmaking story and its relationship with Leavesden is set to live on with the launch of Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. The tour promises to be one of the most exciting and memorable visitor attractions anywhere in Europe, delivering an experience never before seen by the general public.”
Tickets will go on sale later this year and must be booked in advance via the dedicated website www.wbstudiotour.co.uk or through approved tour operators.
