If you’re a fan of motor racing, stand by for next weekend’s (16-17 April) action at Brands Hatch – the first event of the new season to be held on the full Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.
Co-headlining the racing will be the British GT Championship and the returning BRDC British Formula 3 Championship.
In the British GT Championship two-hour mini-endurance race you’ll find more than 30 cars from some of the world’s best manufacturers, including: Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, McLaren and Porsche.
Drivers to look out for include reigning champions Andrew Howard and Jonny Adam, both racing Aston Martin Vantages for different teams this season, and former British Touring Car Championship driver Liam Griffin in a Lamborghini Huracan.
The recently-revived BRDC British Formula 3 Championship – the second round of the 2016 season – features a large grid of potential future F1 stars – former F3 drivers include: Ayrton Senna, Mika Hakkinen and Jenson Button.
In addition to the British GT and F3, there will be a busy support programme featuring the Ginetta GT5 Challenge, Caterham Superlight R300s, Aston Martin GT Challenge, and Motorsport News Saloon Car Championship. Plus the programme will include the first ever Grand Prix circuit outings for the exciting Mini Miglia and Mini Se7ens one-make championships.
