The very first purpose-built sporting venue for the London 2012 Olympics has been completed at Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy in Dorset.
At a cost of £15m, the venue will host both the Olympics and Paralympics events.
A 200m breakwater has been built to protect the new facilities which include a new pier with two yacht-lifting cranes and a 70-berths pontoon for the race boats.
Around 400 athletes will complete at the facilities in 10 Olympic sailing categories.
