Not everyone is suffering from the credit crunch.
As more and more people are feeling the financial squeeze, budget hotel chain, Travelodge, is set to cash in by opening 22 new hotels before the end of 2008.
At a cost of £125m, the new hotels will add nearly 2000 extra rooms to the chain. Locations for the new hotels include: Hereford, Devizes, Stevenage, Barking, Worthing, Wolverhampton, Middlesbrough, Torquay, Heathrow, Edinburgh and Cardiff.
The hotel chain currently has 339 hotels in the UK and intends to treble the size of its chain by 2020, targeting a 10% share of the UK hotel.
Travelodge is currently offering £19 rooms for stays in December and January.
