If you are yet to book your summer holiday and are still weighing up whether to take a British holiday or one abroad, maybe the latest forecast for the Met Office may sway you in favour of staying in the UK.
According to today’s summer forecast, summer 2009 is ‘odds on for a barbecue summer’.
Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, Ewen McCallum, is predicting: “After two disappointingly-wet summers, the signs are much more promising this year. We can expect times when temperatures will be above 30 °C, something we hardly saw at all last year.”
While the Met Office isn’t ruling out some heavy downpours, it is not expecting a repeat of the previous two wet summers.
